Management Consultant

Karen Phillipson is a management consultant with over 30 years’ experience in local government and the private sector.

Karen started her career at Peterborough City Council where, after working in various roles, delivered a large-scale transformation forming a centralised admin function of 300+ staff across all Council services. This delivered sustainable savings, revised working practices, provision of temporary staff, strengthening service delivery resilience. Karen’s experience also includes reviews of Police back-office teams and NHS Patient Admin Services.

Karen has worked as a dynamic Operations Leader and Client Manager with 9 years of experience working for a FTSE 100 & 250 company, managing national teams across the UK providing Regulatory Services and Business Services, working in partnership with Local Authorities. This work included responsibility for delivering client services and operational excellence, successfully managing budgets and profit/loss accounts and delivering efficiencies associated. Karen along with Jonathan has worked as Executive “trouble-shooter” working with services requiring improvement/operational support.
